Who are you?
IRL, I am Brett but in-game, you know me at Diomedes Tydeides, Bergrom Tromgairid, Sean Broim, and Cypris Cytherea. Yeah...be afraid...be very afraid..... ;)

What's your location?
I live in L.A......Lower Alabama! More precisely, Millbrook Alabama, not far from the state capital of Montgomery. Most commonly, however, you will find me blithely walking in out of of my own little world without regard to real or virtual life!

How long have you played Guild Wars?
I started GW just a few days after the public release. I had a difficult time acquiring a copy of the game or I'd have been on from the date it went live.

What are your favorite characters?
I probably have done best as a warrior (Diomedes) but have enjoyed the Necro role as well...especially MMs.

What is your gaming background?
I started with the three book boxed set of D&D back in the late 70's. It ruined me forever and set me down the road to Geekdom. BattleTech was also a major influence. I have played countless pen and paper games before buying my first computer while in the Army.

What is your online experience?
Gato (Sub sim), StarFlight, Bard's Tale, MechWarrior and Empire stole me soul and sucked me into the cyber-addition of gaming. I played EverQuest for about 3 years (mostly as a Monk or a Ranger) and also tried City of Heroes and Anarchy Online. I have also spent many hours playing Rainbow Six 3 and Battlefield:1942 and Vietnam.

How long have you been in TeG?
Since June 2005

What do you like best about TeG?
From the moment I met Alyx and Aangy, I was impressed with the overall maturity of this guild. The arrivals of tB with Chay, Mat and others made a solid guild a strong guild. TeG has a big tent mentality - there is room for a variety of approaches. temperments, and goals. This tolerance of difference is the surest sign of maturity and one I value a great deal.

What is your favorite Guild Wars moment?
I cannot and will not name just one. From meeting Alyx and Aangy to the Island missions with tB to leaning how much fun it is tormenting Chay, I have enjoyed every minute of my time spent with TeG. Any mission with guildies has been a blast and I will admit, the 12v12 of Factions rocked when i was able to join my peers of TeG.

What's on your mouse pad?
Stains from spilt soft drinks and crumbs of food. I actually use an optical mouse but my wife says the dragging of it across my desktop makes too much noise hence the mouse pad.

Why am I here?
Philisophically, the only answer is....Because! but I assume you want more than THAT! I am here because I find the community of on-line gaming to be mentally stimulating and I enjoy the exchange of ideas and kinship with people across the globe. I am in the officer forum because Alyx and Aangy were too deep in the sauce one night and had the idea to invite me!

If you could talk with anyone living or dead, who would it be?
So many choices but you want only one. Leaving aside selections based on religious belief, I think I would choose Epaminondas, the Theban general who liberated the Helots, founded Greek cities of freed slaves, and brought Sparta to its knees. Thebes (in the aftermath of the Peloponnesian War), more than ancient Athens, best embodied the principles and ideals of democracy.
